April has been a busy month! While its director traveled trough Ethiopia and Mozambique for his new film project (watch the trailer here), Silent Snow was screened on the International Mountain Film Festival in Domzale (Slovenia), Athens International Film Festival (Ohio, US), ViewFinders in Halifax (Nova Scotia) and last but not least in Cairo, Egypt.

 

The film won the ‘Best Mountain Nature and Culture Film’ award at the 6th International Mountain Film Festival in Domzale, Slovenia, where we were represented by Dutch Ambassador Jos Douma. The IMFFD Jury on Silent Snow: "A desperate scream for immediate changes." For more info, check the IMFFD website.

 

The Dutch cinema tour also continued with two screenings in Luxor Filmtheater in Zutphen and Heerenstraattheater in Wageningen. 

 

Furthermore, Silent Snow was on Mediawave International Film and Music Festival in Fort Monostor, Komárom (Hungary) from April 26-30, where it was be part of the ‘World and Images’ documentary program. 

 

On April 28, it was time for Berlin’s GREENLAND EYES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, where Pipaluk Knudsen-Ostermann was present. The festival is exceptional in its combination of multiple perspectives on today’s Greenland such as film, art, music, storytelling, politics and scholarship.
